Owed to Barbour Construction Company

We felt we landed in a very safe harbor
When we chose the construction company of Barbour.

Starting with demo of soffits and plaster walls
And ending with putting slate paint down the halls.

Giving attention to detail and attention to us
Showed us from day one you would earn an A+.

We always had such faith in you
To help make our kitchen dream come true.

The names will be eliminated to protect the subs,
But there were a few humorous things that happened–we’re not calling them flubs.

Like the time Kohler was on the phone for hours because the faucet had a bug.
Come to find out, the faucet was just put into the wrong plug.

And the fact that we kept meeting Adams galore
Every time a new subcontractor walked in the door.

Four months ago, we made a new friend.
He goes by the name of Buildertrend.

He was our way of contacting Paul and Carri
If the situation ever became too hairy.

“Hello Barbour Construction” said the voice on the phone.
It let us know we were not alone.

No matter the problem, Carri’s calming voice
Always reminded us we had made the right choice.

Carri had her hand on the pulse of everything.
When she called one of the guys, they would always answer her ring.

She put out all fires and stopped some fires before the start.
We thank her so much for using her head and her heart.

When Carri said that she’d ask Paul,
We knew our concern would be addressed whether big or small.

Paul was the juggler with many balls in the air.
Each one individually was given great care.

To create such a schedule and have it work out
Was a thing of wonder he should brag about.

Thank you, Paul, for letting us feel heard
And giving us always an encouraging word.

You never made us feel we were bothering you,
When we really were, that we knew.

We’re not exactly sure where Gabe fits in,
But when he was here it was always a win.

He was a delight and a hard worker and up to the task.
He did above and beyond for each thing we’d ask.

He passed all our tests and aced the final exam.
If only I could get him to stop calling me ma’am.

If anyone caused something to go askew
There would always be Jammie to the rescue.

There aren’t enough words to praise the amazing Jammie Downs.
To have him as your colleague, he’ll eliminate your frowns.

We found out that there is nothing that Jammie can’t do.
He’s a carpenter, a plumber, an electrician, too.

We learned to love the phrase “I’ll have Jammie stop by:”
It would turn our cloudy day into a day of blue sky.

Jammie has become the super hero
Troubleshooting Ayr and Wolf and even Sub-zero.

There is so much knowledge and talent in Jammie’s head.
A project without his help would be something to dread.

He came to our rescue so many times we can’t count.
Maybe more than one hundred might be the amount.

Now that our project is nearly done,
It’s time for us to say goodbye; it’s been fun.

Through this poem we have been trying to thank you so much
For giving us the Barbour Construction very special touch.

It’s been our honor to get to know you all.
Farewell to our new friends, Carri, Jammie, Gabe, and Paul.

We’re not exactly sure when again we’ll cross paths.
I guess it’s goodbye until we redo our baths.

Thanks to Carri and Jammie and all.
The team you put together really “nailed it;” Paul.
